THE WORLD’S ONLY FLOOR-SUPPORTED OVERHEAD STORAGE SYSTEM
No Drilling No Ceiling-Mounted Hardware No Truss Damage

Frequently Asked Questions

Your garage ceiling was designed to support the roof — not your belongings.
Ceiling- mounted racks and lifts overload your trusses.
Over time, that weight stresses your ceiling
causing the roof system to sag, crack, and even fail.
ARackAbove transfers every pound to the floor — not your ceiling.
No drilling. No structural load. No attic or ladder climbs. Just solid, accessible storage.

Topic 1: Structural Safety & Engineering

1. What is the Flex Beam Support?
The Flex Beam Center Support Beam is the load path — it’s why ARackAbove is the only overhead storage system that never compromises your trusses or your roof. It transfers weight to the floor where it belongs, and adjusts left or right to accommodate the larger of two vehicles in the garage.

2. Why is ARackAbove safer than ceiling-mounted racks?
Traditional racks load your ceiling trusses — structures not designed for sustained weight. Over time: stress, sagging, and risk. ARackAbove is freestanding and transfers all load to the floor.

3. Does ARackAbove damage my ceiling or walls?
No. No drilling. No attachment. The system stands on the floor and is tensioned for stability, leaving your structure intact.

4. How much weight can it hold?
Properly assembled, ARackAbove is engineered to hold 2,000 lbs.

5. Is ARackAbove patented?
Yes. Protected by U.S. Patents #11,109,681 and #11,812,855.

Topic 2: Delivery & Assembly

1. Where does ARackAbove get assembled?
Assembly takes place directly on your garage floor. The rack spans the width of the garage, typically between the garage door opener and the front wall. No ladder. No ceiling work. Assemble the H-assemblies on the floor, then stand them up.

2. How is ARackAbove delivered?
If shipped: Delivered via freight to your driveway.
If delivered locally: Our team arrives with your unit on a cart, ready to assemble.

3. Can I assemble it myself, and what tools are needed?
Yes. If you can use an electric drill with a 9/16" socket, a wrench, and a level, you can assemble it. Most homeowners finish in under two hours.

4. How heavy are the individual pieces?
A 2-car unit weighs under 235 lbs total but ships in manageable pieces. The heaviest component is 26 lbs, allowing one person to assemble it.

Topic 3: Fit & Capacity

1. Will it fit my garage?
Fully adjustable for 1-car, 2-car, and 3-car garages. Shelf height is also adjustable. See the Head Clearance Guide on the homepage.

2. Will it work with an 8-foot ceiling?
Yes. Designed to fit standard 8-foot ceilings with clearance for both people and vehicles.

3. How much can I store?
In an 18–20 ft garage, up to 30 large Costco-style bins (30”D × 20”W × 15”H).

Topic 4: Ownership & Value

1. Can I take it with me if I move?
Yes. It disassembles easily and moves with you.

2. Does it come with a warranty?
Yes. Limited Lifetime Warranty on structural components.

3. Where is it made?
Designed and manufactured in the USA.
