Topic 1: Delivery & Assembly
1. Where does ARackAbove get assembled?
Assembly takes place directly on your garage floor. The rack is designed to span the width of the garage, typically positioned between the garage door opener and the front wall. There is absolutely no ladder or ceiling work required—you simply assemble the "H-assemblies" on the floor and stand them up.
2. How is ARackAbove delivered to my home?
If shipped: Your ARackAbove unit will arrive via freight on a single pallet, delivered directly to your driveway.
If delivered: our team will arrive to you residence with your ARackAbove unit on a cart and ready to assemble.
3. Can I assemble ARackAbove myself and what tools are needed?
Yes. If you can use an electric drill with a 9/16" socket, a wrench, and a level, you can assemble this. Most homeowners finish the assembly in under two hours. Watch the Assembly Video Here
4. How heavy are the individual pieces?
While the total weight of a 2-car unit is less than 235 lbs, it is shipped in lightweight manageable pieces. The heaviest individual component is only 26 lbs, making it easy for one person to assembly the entire rack.
Topic 2: Structural Safety & Engineering
1. Why is ARackAbove safer than traditional ceiling-mounted racks?
ARackAbove is a freestanding storage solution. Unlike traditional racks, it does not put any stress on your ceiling’s wooden trusses. This eliminates the risk of structural sagging or collapse caused by overloading ceiling mounts.
2. Does ARackAbove damage my ceiling or walls?
No. ARackAbove does not require drilling into your ceiling or walls. It stands on your garage floor and is gently tensioned for stability, leaving your home’s structure completely intact.
3. What is the Flex Beam Support, and why does it matter?
The Flex Beam Support is a slim pole (under 1.5" thick) that provides vital support for the rack in wider garages. It is what allows ARackAbove to safely hold up to 2,000 pounds. In garages wider than 13.5 feet, this support is necessary to maintain structural integrity. The pole can be slid left or right to clear car doors, and it is wrapped in reflective tape for high visibility.
4. How much weight can ARackAbove hold?
When properly assembled, ARackAbove is engineered to hold a massive 2,000-pound load.
5. Is ARackAbove patented and engineered?
Yes. ARackAbove is a professionally engineered system protected by two U.S. Patents (#11,109,681 and #11,812,855)
Topic 3: Fit & Capacity

2. Will ARackAbove work in a standard 8.0-foot garage?

3. How many bins can ARackAbove hold?
