Ceiling Load

0.0 lbs
ARackAbove Zero Ceiling Load System
100% Floor Supported

Sway-stabilized via upper compression feet. Zero hanging weight.

Engineered for Total Safety

Weight transfers entirely to the concrete floor slab. Zero load is placed on ceiling trusses, joists, or drywall — unlike traditional ceiling-mounted racks, where the rack's safety depends entirely on the hidden strength of your home's pre-existing trusses.

Ceiling & Garage Fit

  • Ceiling Height: 7' minimum to 12' maximum
  • Garage Width (1–1.5 Car): 10' – 13.5'
  • Garage Width (2–3 Car): 17' – 22'
  • Garage Depth: Scales dynamically with width — no fixed minimum
  • Uneven Floors: 3" independent adjustment per leveling foot
  • Sloped/Cathedral Ceilings: Non-issue — feet swivel to match any angle
  • Drop Ceilings: 100% Compatible (Confirmed on multiple installs)
  • Garage Door Tracks: Fits seamlessly between the opener and front wall

Premium Construction

  • Material: 6061-T6 Aircraft-grade structural aluminum (.110" rectangular extrusions)
  • Corrosion Resistance: Naturally rust-proof alloy
  • Flex Beam Center Support: Included on 2–3 Car unit (adjusts side-to-side for vehicle clearance)
  • Shelf Width: Spacious 48" deep deck panels
  • Lower Cross Support: 250 lbs capacity per bar (vertical pegboard hanging)
  • Heaviest Component: Just 26 lbs (48" x 58" decking panel)
  • Required Tools: Only 3! (9/16" socket, 9/16" wrench, and a level)

The differences between the 1-car and 2-car models?

Legs, cross supports, leveling feet, decking, and hardware are 100% identical across both models. The only changes are:

Outer Rail Tubing 42.5" (1-Car) vs. 95" (2-Car)
Internal Beam 95" on both models (unchanged)
Flex Beam Support 2-Car only (not required on shorter span)

⏱️ Fast, 1-Person Assembly

2–3 Car: ~2 hours → Creates a 4' x 20' shelf
1–1.5 Car: ~1.5 hours → Creates a 4' x 12' shelf
*H-frame assemblies are engineered to easily walk upright and install solo at full height.

🚫 Ladder-Free Access

Get full shelf access from both long sides completely unobstructed. Because the shelf height is set by you during installation to match your physical reach, no ladders are required for daily use.

Stability, Tensioning & Maintenance

The four upper leveling feet do not bear load. Their engineering purposes are to hold H-assemblies straight during construction and eliminate forward/backward sway using spring-tension physics.

Engineering Truth: "Zero ceiling load." There is physical contact to eliminate sway, but absolutely no structural weight is passed to your ceiling.

Note on Maintenance: Seasonal temperature swings can cause minor shifting in the upper tension pads. Because they only control minor sway and not capacity, this is completely non-critical to system safety.

How ARackAbove Outperforms Ceiling-Mounted Racks

Performance Factor Ceiling-Mount Competitors ARackAbove System
Max Rated Capacity 1,000 lbs (Fleximounts Pro Max) 2,000 lbs (Double the competitor limit)
Structural Dependency Steel strength + UNKNOWN truss limits Rack strength only — 100% floor-supported
Installation Complexity Drilled heavy anchors into ceiling joists (2 person job) No drilling, zero wall anchors (True 1 person job)
Daily Access Dangerous ladder climbing required by design No ladder — Double-sided walk-up access
